My wife is a New England native and when I saw this 'tee', I just had to have it. I never heard of a 'Quahog' prior to meeting her. WONDAWEDGE REVIEW

Less than a week ago, I was given the opportunity to try the "WondaWedge," in exchange for writing this product review. The opinions expressed here are my own and are in no way intended to be construed as medical advice. The WondaWedge is an inflatable pillow with an attached mat made of flocked PVC but feels like suede and is quite comfortable. Upon first impression, I noticed the construction of the Wonda Wedge was quality. Though when the product arrived, I was surprised to learn that it had to be inflated, as I don't own a pump. After a few moments of blowing it up by mouth, I must say that it was relatively easy to inflate. Learning that it was designed by physiotherapists, I thought 'finally' there might be some hope for my lumbar pain. I have had back problems for quite a while and suffer daily. The first thing I thought was I will use the wedge to try to support my back, by propping it up behind me while sitting on my love seat but, unfortunately, that did not work as planned because my seat cushions were not large enough to fit the WondaWedge. I did notice, however, how good it made my back feel-even from an awkward position, while sitting on the love seat. I, then, decided to try the WondaWedge from my living room floor, which is carpeted, while I watched television and the back support was amazing. Two great features of the WondaWedge is that it is waterproof, therefore, it is handy to take along to the beach, pool and lake and it's also easy to clean! Last, I tried the Wonda Wedge while reading in bed and it didn't only support my back but seemed to support my neck as well. Here is a photo of the WondaWedge in dark blue color, though the one I received was yellow:

WONDA WEDGE

The Wonda Wedge comes in a variety of colors including: think pink, warm gray, citrus orange, as well as the lemon yellow and dark blue. One negative I did find is that for small apartments or homes with very little storage space, you would have to semi- deflate the product each time you use it and put it under the bed or another convenient place. In my opinion, it is inexpensive and well worth the benefits it has to offer.

1. What inspired you to write, Enchantment?
(Charlotte)-I created Channie and Josh in a writer's workshop and fell in love with them. So did everyone else. We all agreed they deserved a longer life than what a short story could give them.

2. Can you give us a brief synopsis of the book?
(Charlotte)-Enchantment is about 16-year old Channie Belks who is trying to hide the fact that she's a witch. Sorta hard to do after her parents slap a chastity curse on her flirting with "dirty minded, non-magical city boys." She can't even walk by a hot guy without zapping him. There's a way to break the curse; but one mistake could kill her. It's not worth the risk...until she meets Josh. Suddenly, the threat of death isn't such a deal breaker.

3. Do you have a favorite character or two in the book and if so, who are they and why?
(Charlotte)-I've sort of fallen in love with Hunter Feenie. He didn't even exist in the first draft of ENCHANTMENT, but I needed a better opening scene so readers would realize right away they were reading a paranormal romance. I needed a boy, and it couldn't be Josh...so Hunter was born. He has a way of slipping into your heart with his simple country charm when you least expect it.

4. What age group would best fit this book?
(Charlotte)-15 years and older because there is sexual tension and the discussion of sex.

5. Did you have to compile any research for the book and if so, what kind of research?
(Charlotte)-I knew nothing about BMX racing so I researched it online and went to a couple of races. I even met BMX champion, David Herman. Watch for him in the London Olympics

6. Did you experience any writer's block while writing this book and if so, how did you overcome it?
(Charlotte)-Not really. I have a file on my desktop labeled "word vomit" so I can give myself permission to write even when nothing inspires me and I know it's pure junk. These sessions usually spark an idea or two.

7. How long did it take you to finish the book?
(Charlotte)-I wrote the first draft in four months, but it took another 8 months before the novel was good enough for publication.

8. If this book became a movie, which actors do you envision playing the main characters?
(Charlotte)- Channie: Gabriella Wilde, Josh: Logan Lerman, Hunter: Louis Hunter, Momma: Jodie Foster, Daddy: Brad Garrett, Aunt Wisdom: Laura Linney.

9. Are you currenly working on another book?
(Charlotte)-The sequel to Enchantment, Taken was just released at the end of January 2012. I'm hoping the 3rd book in the trilogy will be published during the Summer of 2012.

S & S Brand Spice Rubs Review

I recently had the opportunity to review 2 small samples of S & S Brand Spice Rubs, the fish rub and the ranch rub. Spencer O'Meara and Sarah Burchard, both San Francisco Chefs, are the owners of a line of BBQ sauces and spice rubs. First, I will start with the fish Rub. I enjoyed this mix of herbs and spices on cod fish baked in the oven. I mixed the fish rub with a little olive oil and spread a light layer on the fish. When I first smelled the fish rub and ranch rub, I thought they were pretty potent, however, after cooking the fish, though still fragrant, the rub added a pleasant flavor to the fish. I will say, however, that it may be an acquired taste as everyone has different preferences. The ingredients on the small sample fish rub packet are: lemon pepper, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, herbs and spices. Though I wish I knew what the herbs and spices are most great chefs don't give all their secrets away! The ingredients for the ranch rub are: non-fat dry milk, dry buttermilk, onion, spices, dried herbs, lemon, salt, garlic with an allergen alert: milk.

I also received a pamphlet with the spices and liked how they included a 'ranch dressing' recipe for the 'ranch rub'. I decided to try the ranch dressing recipe instead of using it as a spice rub; I actually enjoyed it as a vegetable dip. A great feature of the S and S Brand website, is they offer a wide variety of recipes on their site such as chili, BBQ spiced french fries, deviled eggs, baked beans and much more. (Amelia)-One reviewer called it “flirty, fun, and sizzly sexy.” It’s a lighthearted romance with a little drama and a lot of sex.

5. Do you have a favorite present-day romance author? If so, who?

(Amelia)-Kinley MacGregor. She writes Scottish historical romances. Men in kilts…yum.

6. If, "Tell Me You Want Me" became a movie, which actors do you envision in the lead male/female roles?

(Amelia)-Christian Kane inspired Austin, the male lead, but he’s too old for the part now. The female lead, Jane, would be an athletic brunette who is girl-next-door pretty. Keira Knightly? Too pretty.

7. Do you think you will write non-fiction one day and if so, what subject would you like to write about?

(Amelia)-I’m no good at writing non-fiction, but if I had to, I’d write about adopting my daughter.

8. What do you like to do when you are not writing?

(Amelia)-Watching football and action movies, listening to classic rock, and chasing my daughter around…not all at the same time.

9. Are you currently working on another book? If so, is it a romance novel?

(Amelia)-Yes I am, but it’s an erotic short story collection. The difference between romance and erotica is romance requires a happily-ever-after ending. Erotica does not.
